Alps of new and rich grounds.
When Iris first stepped foot onto the snowy alps, she thought the barren landscape was inhospitable to life, that no wonder Starcore died out, but the great cat in front of her said otherwise. A tall male Snow Leopard stood in front of them, Claw was sniffing him curiously, Cinnamon, Thorn, and Crowfeather hung back, Beryl studied him from above, Iris didn't know what she was doing, she guessed looking calm. "Uh, hi" the stranger meowed, Claw was the first to reply, "hi! My name is Claw! This is Thorn, Crowfeather, Cinnamon, Beryl, and Iris!" Iris snorted in an offended way when she heard her name be called last, this was offensive amongst reptiles. "Hi, I'm Snowdrift, I'm a descendent of Starcore, are you of the other two?" The Snow Leopard asked, "yes, yes we are" Iris butted in, better not let the two cats get to attached, besides, she wanted to annoy Claw. "Cool!" Snowdrift said, "mind if I join you? A lion told me you were here on a quest?" "Oh, that must've been Goldenfoot, she's a scout on the mission!" Claw took the spotlight again, Iris rolled her eyes, "cmon then, can't waste any time with some kitty-bonding!" She hissed, Claw growled softly, some giggled spread through the group, Snowdrift and Claw blushed slightly. Iris laughed, this would get interesting.Claw walked alongside Snowdrift through the ever-lasting snow of Starcore, she really liked this guy already, he was nice, and pretty rebellious like her, they had a lot in common. "So, do you have a nickname?" Claw asked, "well, some call me Drift or SD" he replied thoughtfully, "cool, a very few call me C, but I'll call you Drift!" Claw announced, smiling at the Snow Leopard, he smiled back and continued, "so, what's it like in the lands? Wich one are you from?" Snowdrift asked, "I'm of Dragonsear, and it's great, lots of food, other animals, most importantly, lots of animals to snap at and annoy!" Claw and Snowdrift laughed for a moment, until they heard a yelp, Claw's fur bristled, Cinnamon had fallen into a ravine! Claw's eyes widened as she dared peer over the edge, luckily, Cinnamon was holding onto a root that jut out from the ravine wall, Claw let out a sign of relief, "I'm okay!" Called Cinnamon, "please get me out of here!!" Snowdrift hesitated not and leapt down the edges of the rock wall with agility, Claw watched in amazement as he got down to Cinnamon in a flash, Cinnamon climbed onto his back, rocks fell from beneath Snowdrift, he was going to fall! Cinnamon climbed out of the ravine and was hoisted up by Thorn, Claw took a deep breath and jumped after Snowdrift landing on the ledge above him, "grab my paw!" Claw lowered her paw, Snowdrift jumped up and grabbed her paw, almost pulling Claw down, she strained to hold him up, the ledge he once stood on had completely crumbled away, "Claw! Snowdrift!" Screamed Beryl, the group was freaking out above. Claw pulled as hard as she could to hoist Snowdrift up, but her paw fell again and some rocks let loose. "It's no use!" Claw was starting to panic, but remained calm due to pride and the fact Snowdrift was in danger. Snowdrift managed to get a foothold and hoisted himself up, Claw pulled, but the grip on his paw was starting to slip, "Drift!!" Claw yelled, Snowdrift swung on her paw and landed on the nearest ledge, wich was about five feet away, he held onto the ledge, his hind legs dangling down, "Do you have a grip?!" Claw asked, "good...enough" Snowdrift grunted as he pulled himself up, he was up! They did it! The animals above were cheering, they had defied death, now to keep going along the seemingly endless way to the flower that will heal the sickness, further into Starcore.
