When Ichigo came to the park I had already killed the hollow. My Shekai was still active so he saw my huge scythe. “Renji says hi.” I winked at him and my Zunpakto changed back into a sword and I put it in my hilt. He was in his soul reaper form and I had deactivated my pill – I thought it was vitally important that I was able to turn back invisible even after I took my pill; for similar circumstances.“I’m guessing you’re a soul reaper too?” He asked examining my Zunpakto.
“Well no, I found this Zunpakto when I fought my first hollow.” I said and walked back to the school. Obviously Ichigo didn’t remember who I was, so I decided to wait until he did. Ichigo followed and asked a few questions on how my abilities and spiritual pressure was that of a soul reaper’s, and I answered truthfully; I didn’t know. When we got to the school’s entrance Ichigo was in his actual form again and I took another pill. We met my brothers there and obviously they wanted to start a fight with Ichigo.
“Hey you,” Makai glared at Ichigo, “What gives you the right to walk with my sister?” He growled.
“Humph! Pitiful!” Koishii spat – not literally because that would go against his nature. I put my hand on Ichigo’s shoulder.
“Sorry about that Ichigo, sometimes my brothers can get a bit over-protective.” I smiled and we all walk into class together.
After school I decided to wait for Renji, and Ichigo was still there so I decided to talk to him. “Hey Ichigo,” I said and he turned to face me.
“Hey Sora,” He smiled, “What’s going on?”
“Oh nothing, I just want to know more about soul reapers.”
“Oh, um, I assumed you knew… But okay, um… Where do I start?” I was about to answer when Keigo came up to us.
“Hey Sora…” He said with a smile. “Ichigo! Nice going getting her to join us! Our circle of friendship is growing!” He smiled.
“Oh, you must be Keigo… Right?” I asked.
‘She knows my name!’ He thought. “Yep, and it’s a pleasure to finally talk to you!”
“Hey Keigo, I was busy…” Ichigo said and Keigo’s expression faded.
“So you’re kicking me out now?!” Keigo shouted.
“No! But I was busy talking to Sora!”
“Ooh… I see, you replaced me with Sora… I get it!” Keigo asked and started crying.
“No you idiot! Why would I do that?! She was only supposed to stay here for a day!” Ichigo said.
“I’m not buying it!”
“You’re such an idiot!” He shouted and they started fighting, I huffed and walked away, I wasn’t getting what I wanted so there was no point in me being there. I walked to the place where Renji left his Gigai last and waited for him there. Suddenly someone grabbed my shoulder.
“Renji?” I asked and turned around, but instead of Renji I saw Ichigo. “Oh, it’s you Ichigo, Hi!” I smiled.
“Sorry about Keigo Sora… He’s a bit sensitive…” He smiled.
“It’s cool, I don’t mind.” I said and he put on his serious face again.
“Now about the soul reapers…” Ichigo was about to tell me more about soul reapers until he got distracted by someone coming in through the gate.
“Hey guys.” Renji smiled.
“Renji, I haven’t seen you in while, howzit going?” He asked and put a hand on Renji’s shoulder.
“Sorry to interrupt but we need to go.”
“Why? Where are we going?”
“Well…”
“Are these twisted brutes pestering you again dear sister?” Koishii asked as he walked up to me and placed his hand on my shoulder.
“No Koishii, I’m fine.” I said reassuringly.
“Are you sure?” Makai asked and place his hand on my other shoulder.
“Yeah, seriously.”
“Do you seriously distrust us that much?” Renji asked.
“Is that even a question?” Makai asked.
“But we’re here now so being anxious won’t be necessary.” Koishii added.
“Yeah, we can beat you guys easy!” Makai smirked.
“Oh yeah?!” Renji and Ichigo yelled and kicked their faces.
“You’ll pay!” Makai shouted.
“You disgusting brutes! How dare you touch my beautiful face! You will pay!” Koishii growled and his eyes had the faint blue flame marks in them again.
“Wanna try and take me on miss self-conscious? Then come at me! I’m not afraid of a prissy little girl!” Renji shouted.
“Guys, calm down, please.” I said and put my hands on Renji and Koishii’s shoulders. “I do not want to see you fight like this!” I said and walked to the centre. “Now please try to be friends! I don’t want to have to break you guys up the whole way.” I said and started walking down out the back gate.
“Wait, Sora! You don’t even know where I wanted to take you!” Renji called.
“Of course I do! You’re taking me to see Kisuke Urahara right? The guy that owns a candy shop? To prove it I’ll meet you there.” I said and started walking away.
“How did you know that?” He asked in awe. I turned my head quickly and tapped it. I turned back and Phantom Stepped to Kisuke’s shop.
“She’s good.” Ichigo said.
“Sure is bro.” Makai added.
“She is truly magnificent!” Koishii added.
“Guys, let’s go!” Renji said and turned to Koishii. “Can you guys also do Phantom Step?”
“Unfortunately not, she is the only individual that can perform Phantom Step…” Koishii explained.
“We tried to do it but it was hopeless; even with her help.” Makai added.
“Phantom Step?” Ichigo asked.
“It’s a special move that Sora can do, it’s similar to the Flash Step, but it’s faster.” Renji explained.
“Oh, wow, that’s pretty impressive.” Ichigo said.
“Yep, now, if you guys can’t perform Phantom Step you are gonna have to do Flash Step with us.” Renji said.
“I guess it has to be done.” Ichigo said and Renji grabbed Koishii and Flash Stepped to Kisuke. Ichigo did the same to Makai and they didn’t seem to like it.
Back at Kisuke’s place Renji dropped Koishii on the ground when they had arrived. “You fool!” He jumped up and held his flame filled fist up at Renji. “I’ll skin you!” He yelled and Ichigo and Makai arrived. Makai ended up under Ichigo’s foot.
“Dude, get off of me!” Makai shouted.
“I will… As soon as you apologize for calling me a freakin’ dumbass!” He shouted back.
“Hey, I can’t help it if you’re too sensitive! Now get off me dumbass!”
“HEY!” I yelled and they stopped and saw me standing in front of them. “LINE UP!” I yelled and they lined up in front of me saluting in a panicky manner. “What did I say about fighting?” I asked and no one answered me. “I ASKED YOU A QUESTION!” I yelled and Ichigo hesitated.
“Well, you said you didn’t like it when we fought.” Ichigo said and I leaned in close to him. He started sweating like a maniac. I frowned at him and he looked like he was about to faint.
“Close enough!” I smiled and flicked his head and giggled. I started skipping to Kisuke’s shop but I turned around. “I had you guys fooled!” I giggled again and they gave me a confused expression. “Come on guys! What’s up with you?” I asked and no one answered. “This is starting to scare me… You are never this quiet…” I said and Kisuke came out of the shop. “Kisuke something’s wrong with them… They’re not answering me… They look like statues!” I frowned
“Guys, quit messing around with Sora, I’ve got some important news for you…” Kisuke said and Renji stepped forward.
“What is it?” He asked.
“Let’s go inside guys… I’ll tell you in there.” He said and we all walked inside. He told them everything he told me while we were waiting for them to arrive. Kisuke heard from Yoruichi that Aizen and his Espada are coming to the soul society. They know this because one of the Arrancars thought he could defeat them all by himself. He wasn’t an Espada though; Espada’s are really high-ranked Arrancars that work really close to Aizen. The soul society locked the Arrancar up and pressed him for information, but all he said was: “Lord Aizen approaches…” That was before he killed himself. Yoruichi said that we need to train and come as soon as possible to help the soul society. We all agreed to help and headed downstairs to train.
“This is so amazing!” I said in awe.
“It is quite impressive…” Koishii said and examined the area. It looked so huge! Kisuke and Yoruichi built this training ground together when they were young. It was really impressive.
“It’s so awesome Kisuke!” Makai shouted and Kisuke smiled.
“May I request that I see Sora’s abilities first?” Kisuke asked and I nodded.
“Sure thing! Who’s gonna battle me?” I asked.
“Renji, please battle with her.”
“Don’t go easy on me! If I find out that you did, then I’ll kill you.” I informed him as he took his place opposite me.
“Okay then, if you say so.” Renji said and Kisuke smiled.
“Ready?” Kisuke asked and we nodded. “Then let’s battle!” He smiled and Renji charged at me with his Zunpakto. I blocked his attack with my sword; gripping it with one hand. I punched his stomach with my other fist and he flew up in the air and I slashed at him with my Zunpakto. Blood spewed out from his arm.
“Damn…” He moaned as he fell hard on the ground.
“I told you, don’t go easy on me.” I frowned at him. He groaned and got up, trying to slash at my side. I jumped and dodged his attack; appearing behind him.
“Renji, this is going nowhere… I think you should use your Shekai against her.” Kisuke added.
“Okay.” Renji agreed and took a deep breathe. “Roar, Zabimaru!” He shouted and his Zunpakto transformed into its Shekai. I had a feeling that this would probably be a fun match after all. He whipped his Zunpakto at me and it extended; slashing at my arm with its teeth. Blood spewed out of it.
“Nice! Now we’re getting somewhere!” I panted but managed a smile and Phantom stepped behind him. “Too bad that I’m still quicker than you.” I smirked and sliced at his back. He swung at me again but I dodged. “You see you have the upper hand at slashing at me when I’m far away but, I am way too fast for you up close.” I said.
“Smart…” Renji smiled and flash stepped on top of me. “But you forgot I could do Flash Step…” He said and swung again; this time slicing my back. I fell on the ground and breathed heavily. “Give up yet?” He asked.
“No, it’s time I unleashed Shekai too.” I said and Phantom Stepped to a safe distance. I took a deep breath and slowly brought my Zunpakto up; pointing to the sky as I chanted the following: “Reign over the Silver Skies… Tsumetai Hebi!” I shouted and my Zunpakto turned into its Shekai form. “Search and Destroy!” I shouted and pointed my scythe towards Renji. Suddenly the winds twisted wildly at my command and stabbed Renji in the chest. As he fell he coughed up blood and his chest started to bleed continuously. He got up again and smiled. “Had enough yet?” I smirked.
“Haha, you’re funny, but I’m never giving up!” He shouted.
“Fine then!” I said and jumped up in the air and pointed my scythe towards Renji. “Piece his soul!” I commanded and spirit arrows shot out of my scythe and towards Renji. He flashed stepped away from them but they followed. “Tsumetai Hebi’s arrows follow their enemies until they have pieced their souls! There is no escape Renji Abarai!” I shouted but he kept Flash Stepping away from it. He Flash Stepped behind a boulder which confused me since I just told him he couldn’t run from my arrows or hide from them. My arrows got to the boulder and he jumped in the air; releasing some sort of beam from his palms. I was too annoyed to think of what that could be so I Phantom Stepped behind him and slashed at his back. “You can’t win Renji!” I said and jumped up in the air. “Suffocate your enemies!” I shouted and ropes shot out of Tsumetai Hebi; wrapping around Renji’s waist and arms so he couldn’t do anything.
“Well, she has this unique healing technique with her Zunpakto… She used it to heal your wounds.”
“Wow… That’s really nice of her,” He said and got up, “Now where is she?”
“Oh, um, she is resting.” Kisuke took off his hat and dusted it.
“Resting? What, was our battle too overwhelming for her?” He smirked.
“Well, no, using that healing technique takes a lot of spirit energy… And since she was so badly injured before, she only had enough to heal your wounds…” He said and started walking away. “You know, she could’ve died using so much spirit energy while being in such a terrible shape. You better thank her when she has recovered Renji Abarai.” Kisuke said and carried on walking away. Renji headed towards the shop and into one of the rooms. He saw me there; bandaged and a bit pale – even if I was only slightly lighter than Yoruichi. He came and knelt down next to me and waited for me to awaken. After a while Renji felt a bit tired and was about to fall asleep when he heard me mumble something to myself. He looked at me with anticipation and hope. I opened my eyes slowly, and I could make out a guy sitting in front of me; but my sight was still very blurry. “Sora are you okay?” Renji asked.
“Renji… I didn’t know you had a twin…” I said.
“Haha… I’m glad to see you’re awake.” Renji said. “You know, you didn’t need to do that…”
“Do what Renji?”
“You know, using most of you spirit energy to heal me…”
“I did, you would’ve died if I didn’t.”
“But you could’ve died too…” Suddenly we heard a knock on the door.
“Hey Sora, you up?” It was Kisuke coming to check up on me. I said that Kisuke could come in and he opened the door and sat down next to Renji. “I’m glad to see you’ve awoken Sora! How do you feel?”
“Oh I feel much better thank you!” I gave him a half smile and he smiled back.
“Your clothes were damaged pretty badly in the fight; so Yoruichi said you could use one of her outfits in her room; which is this room.”
“Aww, that was sweet of her.” I said and got up. My skirt was normal length – knee height – and little ripped, and my strappy top was about ripped to my belly button because it got ripped in the fight. There was a huge scar on my stomach that seemed to trouble the boys.
“Wow! What happened there?” Renji asked in concern.
“Oh, um… Classified… I’ll be down in a second to start my training once more once I’m done changing.” I said sadly and tears formed in my eyes.
“Sora what’s wrong?” Renji asked.
“NOTHING JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!” I shouted and started crying. “It’s none of your concern…” I cried and locked the door. After taking a few breathers and calming down I walked over to the cupboard and saw quite a few cool outfits in there. But the one that caught my eye was the tight black crop top – a centimetre bellow my belly button – long black tights and high heeled boots – an inch above my knee. But I wasn’t gonna wear that WHOLE outfit; no, I was gonna change it to suit my style. I was gonna wear Yoruichi’s black crop top under my grey one. I also wore Yoruichi’s black tights under my grey mini skirt with my skull belt and chains. I wore Yoruichi’s high heeled boots since my Blakes got ripped. To top it all off I tied my hair up in two pony tails with grey ribbon and wore my grey hoodie. I walked down to the training room and my brothers, Renji and Kisuke were standing around Ichigo. “Hey guys, what’s going on?” I asked in concern for Ichigo.
“Sora! You’re here!” Kisuke said with a smile as he walked over to me.
“Well it looks that way doesn’t it?” I asked sarcastically and he laughed.
“You look cool, but I don’t believe that Yoruichi dresses in that fashion.”
“Well I mixed up her best outfit with what was left of mine; I like to stick with my style.” I said and Renji came up to me.
“Well you look really cool.” Renji said and my brothers came over to me.
“You look amazing!” Makai and gave me a thumbs up.
“Your level of adorability is unimaginable!” Koishii said and smiled.
“What’s wrong with Ichigo?” I asked walking over to him.
“He’s injured from the fight, you’re brothers healed themselves, and I’m proud of them; it ended up being a draw.” Kisuke explained.
“Oh, no prob, I can help!” I said cheerfully and Renji sat down next to me and handed me my Zunpakto. I placed it on Ichigo’s chest and said the following: “Heal, Tsumetai Hebi.” I started glowing grey and my glow passed into my Zunpakto. Ichigo suddenly glowed blue and his wounds disappeared.
“Wow, how did you do that?” Renji asked.
“Well, I used my spirit energy combined with Tsumetai Hebi’s and it was able to heal Ichigo’s wounds.”
“So Tsumetai Hebi has healing abilities?” Kisuke asked sitting next to me.
“Well, no, not really. One of Tsumetai Hebi’s powers is controlling time. I just combine our spirit energies to rewind time. That blue glow was Ichigo going back in time to when he was in a good condition. Time is practically in my hands.”
“So one of your Zunpakto’s abilities is time?” Renji asked.
“Yeah, that’s it exactly! I did that for you as well, it takes up quite a lot of my spirit energy, but I don’t mind at all!” I smiled.
‘Skye tries to seem like a cheerful person with no problems at all, but I can sense, that on the inside, she’s depressed and lonely; I wonder why…’ Kisuke thought.
“Err… My head.” Ichigo groaned and sat up.
“Ichigo, you’re awake! Wonderful!” I cheered and stood up. I held out my hand to help him up and he grabbed it. I pulled him up and he thanked me. We trained most of that day, and after a long day Ichigo said that he had to go home. Kisuke explained that he must come over to his shop after school again to train. He agreed and we waved him goodbye. When everyone was asleep, me and my brothers went outside and started on our mission. We were actually soul assassins, but not by choice. Our leader promised us food and a place to stay – which we needed – as long as we keep doing our missions. We promised that we will always be assassins and if we ever do quit it would be because we have no choice and that we won’t even come and say anything if we did decided to quit because we would be ashamed. When we opened the door to go and assassinate our next victim I could sense our hesitation. “Guys wait.” I said and they looked at me. “I don’t think we should do this.”
“Why not?” They asked.
“Well, we have food and a place to stay… I see no need in assassinating this guy, I think we should quit, since we are needed somewhere else for a more serious reason.” I reasoned.
“We share the same thought dear sister…” Koishii confessed.
“Yeah, I agree…” Makai added.
“I was hoping you’d say that.” I let out a sigh of relief and we walked back inside. I was throwing my assassin life away – and it felt really great.
In the morning Yoruichi arrived to give us a report on how the soul society was doing. “Guys, I hope that you trained really well yesterday.” Yoruichi said. She was in her cat form and I couldn’t resist the urge to show a huge smile on my face.
“Yes we did, and Sora and her brothers are really strong, I could even say that they are already prepared for the fight ahead!” Kisuke smiled at us.
“Well that’s great news because we have to leave now!” Yoruichi stated.
“Why? Is there something wrong?” I asked.
“Yes, the assumption of Aizen’s arrival date was incorrect, he is coming way sooner than that, I don’t have time to explain further, we just need to get to the soul society now!”
“But Ichigo and them are still at school!” Renji blurted out.
“Don’t worry, I can help with that.” I reassured and Renji walked over to me.
“I’m going with her!” He said.
“Us too!” My brothers said and walked over to me. Yoruichi agreed but said that we need to leave as soon as possible. Kisuke said that he would get the portal ready while we were gone and Yoruichi said she needed to inform Captain Yamamoto of our arrival. Once we got to the school I took my sword out and placed one finger on the edge of it.
“Renji, I’m gonna need your help.” I said and looked back at him.
“Sure, what do you need help with?” He asked and came to stand next to me.
“Place your finger on my Zunpakto, and say ‘Control time to fulfil our wishes, Tsumetai Hebi’.” I said and he put his finger on my Zunpakto. “Okay, now pour your spirit energy into my Zunpakto and once you start glowing, recite what I told you to.” I said and he nodded. We poured our spirit energy into Tsumetai Hebi and we started to glow.
“Control time to fulfil our wishes, Tsumetai Hebi!” We called and the day forwarded; but only for the people in the school. We stopped it and the bell rang. I smiled at Renji.
“Thanks Renji.”
“My pleasure.” He smiled and we saw Ichigo come out of school and we ran to him.
“Ichigo!” I called out to him and he looked at us with a confused expression.
“Guys, what’s up?” He asked and saw our concerned faces.
“It’s time Ichigo.” I said and he knew what I meant.
“Alright, but let’s go find the others.” Ichigo said and we looked around for Uryuu Ishida, Orihime Inoue and Chad – I call him Chad because it’s better than he’s actual name. Once we found them we explained to them as much as we could then we left. When we arrived at the shop, Kisuke had already finished the portal. I stood in front of it.
“Listen Sora, once you and your brothers pass this portal you will be like everyone else in the soul society. I want you, Sora, to go and find Captain Ukitake, Captain of Squad 13, and tell him you were sent by Kisuke Urahara to become a soul reaper. But I want Yoruichi to go with you; she’s meeting you at the entrance of the Repentance Cell. Also I want Uryuu, Chad and Orihime to go and wait with Kuukaku and Ganju; you know where to find them.”
“Will you be coming with Kisuke?” I asked.
“I’m afraid not Sora, you are on your own, but don’t worry; Ichigo and Renji will be with you gu…” I cut him off with a hug.
“Thanks for training us Kisuke.” I said and let go.
“The pleasure was all mine Sora.” He smiled and I joined the others. We were finally gonna go to the Soul Society…
