I'm sorry, Charlie!

We enter camp and suddenly the weather gets better. The sun is setting below the waves of the beach, turning the surf a vibrant crimson. Like blood, I can't help thinking.
Annabeth rushes into Percy's arms and I cover my eyes as they kiss. YUCKKK!!!
Charleston is approaching me, smiling to see me. But her smile will falter when I give her my news.
I'm sorry, Charlie. You really have a nice smile (but you had something green on your teeth! Dinner....?) but I really have some bad news. That's just the way it is.
I don't know  if I'll ever see you smile again.
