a dreams songA DREAMS SONG
A young girl sighs,
Now is her time to show the world, to show herself that all those discouraging remarks were just lies.
Finally, to let out the talent that for so long had been kept in a cage.
Slowly she makes her way to the front of the stage.
Her heart beating faster, faster, faster!
The time getting closer, closer, closer…
The music starts, she breaths in the precious notes
As she exhales a song it floats,
Through the air, like sweet perfume, as it reaches the judges ears
Is he happy with what he hears?
Maybe, but he is one, she must please four.
That morning she had rehearsed and rehearsed till she could no more.
Her voice strong as iron, smooth as cream, and sweet as honey.
She was in this for the magic which we call music, not for the money.
Finally she stops, was her hard work done in vain?
This sudden silence was driving her insane!
The judge, remembering how her eyes had seemed to dance.
He saw her wordless plead
He knew, that with his help, she would succeed.
Trying to hold back and make her wait,
He couldn’t keep her in this state.
The girl was now an emotional mess.
She thanked him.
Pride bubbled up to the brim,
Of her normally humble heart.
She would fulfill her dreams, and now was the time to start.
She walked off the stage.
Her discouragers wanting to rant and rage,
For they were wrong.
The girl had stood strong,
And is now following her dreams,
Despite of them and their evil schemes.
Nothing, nothing, would stop her now,
She would not allow it, but how,
How they wished they could
Just stop her dreams, then they would.
But no, no, it was out of their hands,
Now she would become a star, and be know in all the lands.
Three years later
Just that was made of her.
She was a great pop singer.
Not only that but she was a dreamer.
They were wrong,
Because now she is singing her dreams song!
