Cy and Kate

Four days all ready?
Kate was lying down on the cold, stone floor of the cave. Their time on the island seemed so short, yet so long. Every night she had been having that nightmare of Sally. 'Why?' She thought, 'Why what?' She sat up to see that the everyone else but Tom and the twins were there. She turned to Cy.
"Where are the little kids?" Cy looked at her and laughed a little.
"Well, Tom isn't so little you know!"
"I know!"
"He went to keep an eye on the clones."
"Clones?" Cy laughed a bit more. It was a little strange to see him in such high spirits.
"You know, the twins!" He leaned closer to her and put his hand on the top of her head. "You're hilarious, you know that?" Kate scooted away from him. 'Sheesh.' She got up and sat down right outside of the cave. She picked up a fallen coconut and began to frustratedly bite it. By the time it cracked open, she had cooled down. The girl walked back inside, holding a half of the coconut in each hand. She noticed that Roger and Rebecca were standing, the woman leaning on him for support.
"Rebecca just needs some fresh air," He said when he noticed Kate, "so I'm leading her." Kate just nodded and watched them leave, then she sat down next to Cy.
"Here," she said, offering him one of the halves.
"Does it still have the milk inside?"
"Yeah."
"Sweet! Thanks." He took his side and began to sip out of it. They just sort of sat there for a while, eating the coconut in silence. It was a little unsettling for the black haired girl. Cy put down his coconut shell, and looked at Kate, still not speaking. Then he said it.
"You know, I really like you, Kate." She looked up at him surprised. He looked away for a moment, his face getting a little pink. Kate blushed too, yet at the same time, rage was boiling up inside of her.
"Cy......" He then leaned closer to her, and he kissed her. By now, she had no idea what she should do. Her face was as red as a sunset. For a moment, she closed her eyes and relaxed. Then, the anger inside of her took control. Kate pushed him away.
"Who do you think you are?!" She said loudly, standing up, "Sally's only been dead for a few days! You're rather quick to get over her and target her best friend!" Cy looked dumbfounded, then hung his head. The girl ran out of the cave.
