Day Two: Dear Diary

Well, it's our second day on the island. I found this old journal on the beach, and it was in pretty good condition. So I've decided to keep a record of our days here.
   I had this strange nightmare about Sally last night. We were taking a trip through memory lane. Then when we got to the part that she died, her eyes turned red and she suddenly had fangs! She cried blood and kept asking me, "Why?" I still don't know what she meant by it.
   Anyway, we scouted the island today. We needed to know our surroundings, and what we had in the way of food and supplies. There is a freshwater spring inside our cave, and a small pool in the center of the island. There are two banana trees and a few coconut trees. The island doesn't have many animals, mostly things like bugs and crabs. The only animals that there are a lot of are insects and spiders.
   Tom is getting braver, and he seems more comfortable with us than before. The weird coloring in my eye hasn't faded at all, so he still avoids me as much as possible. Rebecca spends most of her time in the cave, and Dad is usually the one to stay with her. He has to protect her and keep her company or whatever. it is evident that Mackenzie is a scaredy cat! Nearly everything scares her! Fiona just waves to the snake and has a nice chat with spiders. I really don't understand those two.
   I've noticed the looks Cy has been shooting at me. It appears that he likes me. Sally died only yesterday! I hate how men can be so fickle! Anyway, I can't throw him into the ocean because he's a very valuable member. He has great survival skills, keeps his cool, and has medical training. We'd be done for if I got rid of him, and that would make me a killer.
   I hate this place. I just hope help arrives soon.
