Diary of an 8th Grader

Egg Baby Day 1

Brought my egg baby to school!!! I was super pumped then I soon figured out that it's super hard to carry two eggs in one hand and a handful of things for three different classes in another. My arm was killing me xD. Well today was day one for me. 6 days left until it's over. Well anyways, it was time to go to gym and I didn't know how to open my locker with a bunch of things in my arms. I carefully placed my eggs on top of my binder and folders. I rested my chin carefully on the basket of my egg babies so they don't drop to the ground. There was so much struggle. I tried my best to put in my combination, but I kept on messing up. Soon, Ethan came up to his locker and noticed me in a bit of a pickle. "Need help?" he asked me. "Yes please," I replied. He took my basket with the eggs and I was able to open my locker. I quickly emptied my things into my locker and took out my gym clothes. Ethan handed my egg babies back to me so he could open his locker.
Turns out we had an assembly during gym so everyone who had an egg baby or babies brought them with them to the auditorium. I sat down next to Enrique and Ethan followed next to me and sat right beside me. Soon, I got tried of holding my eggs (like the horrible mother I am ._.) and I was looking for somewhere to put it down. "You don't want to hold it anymore?" Ethan whispered to me. I shook my head. He held out his hand, "Here give it to me, I'll hold them for you." I handed the eggs to him. I don't know if he really held my egg babies for that long or something but when the teachers dismissed us back to the gym, Ethan got up and started to walk away with them. "He still has my eggs," I laughed to Enrique. "Ethan wait! Give Ari back her eggs." Ethan looked down at his hands and saw my basket with my eggs in it. "Oh sorry I thought they were mine for a second," Ethan apologized to me and handed me back my eggs.
Later on, in language class, Ethan went to the nurse cause he said his stomach hurt but he looked perfectly fine to me xD. So while he was gone, the teacher handed out key chains to the winners of a game that we were playing last week. My team won so May and I and some other people in my group got a key chain. I didn't really want it and I just stuffed it in my sweater pocket. Near the end of class, I noticed Ethan still hadn't come back and he left his stuff on his desk. "Hey May, you have class with Ethan next class right?" I asked her. May nodded. "Well let's take his stuff and you can hide it somewhere," I laughed. "Yes, oh my gosh we should!" May replied excitedly. She then told me to grab Ethan's stuff from his desk. I got his things and handed them to her. "Wait," I told May. I took his laptop case and unzipped one of the pockets. I took out the key chain I received and plopped it in the pocket. I zipped the pocket back up. "From me to him," I smiled. I gave May the laptop case back to her and then the bell rang. "I think I'll just take his stuff with me, " May laughed and left the room. I left the room as well and went upstairs to my locker. I got my stuff for Language Arts. I went into the classroom and sat in my desk. A minute later, Ethan walked into the classroom. In my head I was like, Ethan what're you doing here? You're not in this class xD. He walked up to me. "Do you know who took my stuff?" he asked me. I blushed a little and laughed, "Oh my gosh." "Was it May?" he asked me. I covered my mouth and nodded. "Thanks," Ethan said and left the classroom.
