I hold my sword ahead of me and see my attacker - My best friend Georgia. We circle eyeing each other. She attacks and I block. She is a pretty skilled fighter but I am better. I have been fighting with a sword since I could hold one. She came here about a year ago which means she is amazing with the progress she has made but so am I. I send a blow and she stumbles nearly losing her balance but she regains her composure. What she lacks in skill she makes up with style.I hit with enough force to knock the sword out of her hand. She ducks as I swipe. Then I point my sword at her heart and she freezes. I pull it down. She shakes my hand and says "Well done,"
I nod and say "Whose next?"A boy about my age, 17, steps forward and says "I think I will,"
"New?" I ask
He nodds and I say "Good luck,"
We circle. A new boy would never challendge me but this guy has the guts or he doesn't know. The watchers around us have held there breath beacuse they know I can fight and if he beats me then he is a threat, just like me. I smile then defend his attack. It cut right by my right side but didnt touch my skin. I sidle to the left and he follows, he is like a mirror. I hit his sword with mine and kick him in the stomach. He stumbles back but quickly regains his feet. I swing my sword but he deflects and when his attack comes I quickly move to the side but not before it hits my arm. I nottice he never guards his left side. I swing my sword to his left but he deflects it and attacks. I duck but his sword is pointing straight at my heart. I drop my sword and offer him my hand. and say "Well done, you must be the first person to beat me in a long time," I smile "My names Lisa,"
"Charlie," he says
"Well Charlie, there is a competition coming up called the Camp games and you need a partner. Would you like to be mine?"
"Yeah ok," Charlie agreees. Most of the crowd give angry noises because they all wanted to be my partner
"Well see you in class later,"
"Yeah later," He says
