Is it a good or bad choice to tell your parents you're depressed?

I'm depressed and its been that way for about a year and a half. I want to get out of it. I want to be the happy girl I used to be, but it's hard with all the stress going on in my life. I want to tell my mom and dad but I'm afraid.. I mean, I know they'll be there for me but I don't want them to worry about me. Please don't judge or say anything mean... I just need help.

It's a good choice. Tell your parents. I doubt they'd be mad at you, but the best thing to do is talk to your parents that way you can get over your depression quicker.
