You being a child cannot be sued, but your parents certainly can. However in most dog bite causes the dog is put down. It's you and your parents responsibility as the owners to prevent this from happening. Do whatever training needed and always keep the dog leashed when out of the house. Be weary when introducing the dog to new people and keep him away from most strangers until he is properly trained. In any case it's not the dogs fault if he bites someone, but he could be the See More▼

If you want to prevent it, I suggest you put up a beware of dog, don't pat, don't feed. Sign or even put a muzzle thingy on him/her

Yes, you can. If he/she goes up so someone to bite them, and they need shots, you will most likely be sued, but if they provoke your dog you might win in court
