How do I get back out into the world?

I've had setbacks in life that kept me from going through life as I planned. I now have a job I enjoy, but I'm not sure where to go from here. I would really like to find new people to be friends with that have similar interests. Maybe even get into dating. But, I don't have a car or a cell phone. Are those necessary? I was never able to get my GED before. Is it something I should go for?

I'm not a counselor or a professional, I'm just a random person online, but I'm proud of you for trying again. A GED or some form of higher education looks better on a resume and qualifies you for more opportunities in the future. A car does makes things easier as far convenience and ease of travel goes. Phones are such a large part of society today and are an easy way to keep in touch. But that's your own call (no pun intended). You should go out and meet new people, especially See More▼

I think you should get a car, and start dating people. Also, it's really easy to find friends, but i prefer to have friends that have DIFFERENT interests than me because i can learn new stuff from them
