A Number Question Why isn't one pronounced Onety-one?

Yeah... epic mistake but I have a question for you: Why is it eleven and not Onety-one?

i think its bc it makes ppl sound funny so like they dont say onety-one that way. what about the other numbers tho? onety-two, onety-three. they would have to do the same thing with those if they did onety-one. or thats what i think
