Why do we need daylight savings time?

I know we change out clocks every spring and fall but do we need to? I mean what if we don't? What'll happen?

well, by "what'll happen" the world won't fall apart, but it helps because in the summer the sun is out longer, but in the winter the sun goes away much sooner, so daylight savings just helps us have more sun in the morning and night by changing the times we get up do stuff, and go to sleep... hope this made sense and helped!! cute profile pic by the way :D
