Why do people have to be so racist when everybody has equal rights?
Why do some people have to hate people for their colour of race? Everybody has equal rights in this world. I just don't like the fact that despite their personality people have to just brush us all away because we are not the same race. Not everyone is racist though...I just wanted to know why seom people do that

I think that racist people need to treat people equally because it angers me too that some people can be like that. I don't see what they gain from it.

I personally am not racist but from the era when african americans couldn't do most things, there still are some people who are against it. Or they are complete douchebags. Thats from my perspective.

Cassia, I honestly think it has to do with slavery. Maybe they had relatives who were slave owners and they hate black people. But I don't see why a color has to do with being friends or whatever.

I agree, it's shameful that people can be so cruel. Prejudice and discrimination arise a lot of the time from plain boredom. Unfortunately, the World we live in today isn't always a very nice place. :( On the bright side, just keep in mind that things on this matter are so much better than they were 50 years ago.
