Should the U.S Ban Guns?

No way. Guns aren't the problem - the irresponsible people using them are.

It wouldn't help anything. People who would be using guns to break the law anyways wouldn't care about the ban, and then no one would be able to stop them because they didn't have guns. We need to control who can own guns, not ban them completely.

Nah. I mean, it's proven that it'll help crime go down, but it's still taking away a right. Having stricter laws on guns and better background checks would help.

No. One, a mass emount of a community (in my area) have guns, and getting rid of all of them would take alot of time up. Two, it'd actually increace crimes, in a way, due to the fact someone is not only charged with x crime using a gun, but the gun also. And someone owning a gun, and not doing any other crime, is quite rediculous. Specially if they wish to See More▼ hunt or just have it in case of needing it for self-defence.

However, I feel (Texas at least, I'm unsure about other states and areas) should tighten the policies on guns so you can't walk into a Wall-mart and buy a gun.

It's the people that harm others, not the guns.
