My grade school has Spanish 1 classes, that are mandatory so my parents are probably make me take Spanish. It would be easier, but my teacher teaches us the same things every year, and she expects us to remember things we learned in kindergarten, and never went over again. Though Spanish is easier so I'd take it.
It also depends on the teacher.
