offensive humour can be coping, and just because you don't see it as such doesn't give you the right to invalidate their coping mechanisms.
the only coping "skills" that can be criticised are ones that physically harm you, such as cutting.
I use offensive, edgy, dark jokes to cope. quite a lot, actually.
nobody is allowed to invalidate your coping mechanisms because they are "offended"
