In the back of his mind, he knew his friend had no chance. He knew he was going to die.
But that didn't stop the Hero of Winds from sobbing, "Please! You'll be OK!"
The boy that lay before him coughed and sputtered through the blood that was filling his mouth.
"Please!" Wind repeated. "Y-You'll-
"No... no, I..." coughed the boy. "I'm already done for... W-Wind... you kn-know that..." With every word more blood oozed from his wounds.
"D-Don't say anything! You'll only-" See More
"I don't care... it won't make any difference..."
Wind's eyes widened and he ignored the tears that burned them. "No, no, you can live, Time, I can-"
"Wind... th-there's nothing you can... d-do..."
"NO!" More tears flooded Wind's eyes and rolled down his face. "No!" Wind didn't want to let his friend die, he didn't want to believe it.
"Just... let it go... d-don't..." Time's voice broke off as he fought for air, blood was staining his leaf-green clothing scarlet.
Wind felt like his heart was going to burst from grief as he watched his friend struggle to breathe or even keep his eyes open. To see him in such pain caused him his own pain. He closed his eyes to block the tears out. "Time, please... you are my closest friend... l-like my brother... please-"
He broke off when he realized the sound of Time's shallow breaths no longer left him.
