If you're a victim of anything, weather it be rape, bullying, ect, from personal experience:
Don't let it become who you are because it is not who you are.
It's an event, and letting it control your thoughts and actions only makes it more traumatizing. Yes, defend yourself, but don't let it take over. Think See More of it as an event that's happened, not part of you. It'll improve your mood.
Take this from 2 people, me (a bullying victim) and my mother (victim of a bunch that I won't list for privacy reasons). Once you tell yourself it's just an event that's happened to you, your mood will increase significantly.
But what do I know? I'm just a 14 year old. I hope this helps, though.
