Honestly, Burr really wasn't taught properly how to display emotion. His mom died when he was, like, 2, and his dad when he was 7. Even then, his dad was working constantly.
So, he felt he didn't have time to feel and only had time to work. But he didn't wanna screw up like his dad so he tried not to overwork himself.
