I'm gonna proofread the folk tale my group has for English, but not because it's my job. It's because I'M the one who's gonna present it to the class (I have a good presenting voice) so I need to be able to read it easily.

Emerald's obsessed with chocolate and popcorn because she only ate chocolate for like, 600 years (that's all she was fed, remember she's technically just a human who was given a gem and the powers that come with it so she still needs to eat and sleep). She prefers Earth chocolate to the stuff they gave her when she was imprisoned and when she had popcorn she just really liked it.
"'Really? Chocolate?'
'It's my lifeblood! And I'm hungry!'

I feel like explaining something. So, I'll go with me referring to my Topaz as a he.
The general rule for gems is that they are referred to as females until proven otherwise. This is because they are more feminine in human terms, and the only reason the use gender pronouns at all is for convenience. Topaz is a much more masculine-looking gem, and he honestly prefers to be called a he. He also acts much like a human boy (not having a problem with being dirty, acting tough) and See More frowns upon things we consider to be girly. So, he's a dude in my book.
