Guy I’m really sorry. I know that not many ppl follow me, but I need to get the message. So anyone that you know isn’t following me, but is following @Clairebear14 or @Squidney14 tell them. Our school, as of this morning, blocked Qfeast on all chrome books.

Good morning and happy thanksgiving!!!
Obviously it’s a time to celebrate and have fun with your family, but we also have to remember the true story on the pilgrims and native Americans, and the land, as well as lives, that were lost at that time.
For many, rather than a celebration of peace and shared prosperity between Native Americans and Pilgrims, Thanksgiving represents the dark shadow of genocide and the resilience of Native people.
Every tribe and every individual may See More▼ have a different way of spending Thanksgiving. Some will gather with their families and share a meal, exchanging prayers and stories from the rich oral history of Native Americans. Others will fast for the entire day.
So today is not only a day of thanks and family, but a day of mourning, remembering the 56,000,000+ lives that were lost in that original thanksgiving era.
Today we all should also invite ourselves to take a step and not only think “who am I thankful for?” But also “am I truly grateful for the land that we have, even if it was wrongly stolen from the Native Americans? Am I truly grateful for the food and traditions that we have wrongly appropriated from the native Americans?” And last but not least “do current native Americans still suffer from my actions today, and forever?”
