This year has been, by far, the best: my personality got a Grade-A+ upgrade, I've gotten lots more confidence, and I can be an idiot without thinking about it twice. It's human nature.
But when it comes to appearances, I lack self-assurance. All the girls (literally. All of them.) in my classes wear makeup. I want to as well, but I know it's a no from my parents. I have god-awful skin and I break out easily. All the girls can plaster some stuff on their faces and they look stunning. See More I have to deal with my insecurities a bit harsher than others because I hate that I can't be pretty as them. And oh my God, my LEGS. My terrible legs. They have razor bumps and scars all over them (due to my stupidity in my childhood and the 7th grade) and it's just horrible. I can't even wear cute skirts because they're so mottled and gross. I just want a cute face and nice legs and I will be content. But I feel so...ashamed to be me sometimes. I can't be perfect, but I can't ward off these stupid insecurities.
