Love is strange.

How it started

So several months ago I started dual enrolling at a college campus and decided to try making some friends there, I met this girl after my class on the first day but didn't really talk to her until about 3-4 weeks after I had started classes there, for the story's sake let's call her Jill (not her real name).
It was after class on maybe my fourth week of going there when i decided to try becoming friends with her, I had a board game in my backpack that apparently no one has ever heard of so I decided to ask if she wanted to try it, I warned her before we started playing that I was really good at the game and told her the rules, after explaining the rules we started playing...................................... Jill beat me four times in a row and continued to beat me for the next 3 weeks, during our games we would talk and I really enjoyed our conversations but I only thought of her as a friend at the time, eventually I started beating her at the game and when we were done playing we would sit and talk, after probably 3 more weeks she had some extra time to hang out and I really got to know her a bit better, I think it was around this time that I started liking her. As time went by, Jill and I started texting back and fourth, asking questions about each other when they came to mind. Once halloween was getting closer I was invited to help decorate her house for a halloween party with some of her friends, I we goofed off most of the time but got plenty of decorations up, I had a lot of fun getting to be around her and learn more about her, when we were done we went on a walk and then ended up laying on a trampoline and staring at the stars , we asked each other questions and I found that I was liking her more and more every moment, on the way back home I asked her if she had ever been to a local diner that was really good and she told me she had never been, it was at this moment that I hatched my plan to ask her out.
