Good news isn't always good
I sat down. That's just it. Making yourself comfortable, that's what everyone wants right? To be comfortable. Well I do. But sitting down. That was mistake 1.I the pulled out my homework. Mistake 2. I then got a pencil in hand. Mistake 3. I watched the teacher enter the room. Mistake 4. "Present" i said. Mistake 5.
5 mistakes in 5 minutes. Pleasant. Welcome to my life. School. You wake up at 5, get on the bus till 7:20. School starts at 7:40. Go to 1st, then 2nd period, and so forth until 7th period. Then get on the bus at 2:30 but don't get home till 5:00. Do homework, eat dinner and get whatever you can done. By then it's already midnight. And that's my life. All school. Stuff I'm supposed to learn but I never pay attention to. Some call me spoiled. I call it boredom. But whatever. Plenty of kids go through the same thing. Why am I so important? Well I don't know, but the whole school thought I was.
Mistake 6, standing up. I guess you want to know what happened. I'll tell you, or maybe I can show you.
-pass backwards to this mornings-
Amanda got out of her bed. She had always hated the sound of her alarm. It wasn't a normal alarm. It was much more high pitched and well faster. Amanda swore it beeped 5 times a second. She also positioned it on the opposite side of the bedroom just to make sure she gets up to turn it off. Sure she could get another alarm, but it did just the job. It woke her up and got her out of her bed, far more than anything her mom could ever do.
Amanda got out of bed and got dressed, and ready for school. She was counting off the mistakes she had already made. She had anxiety you see. And she was so critical of herself.
