MER-A, Spirit

MER-A, or Spirit, another Mars Exploration Rover was launched together with Opportunity, or MER-B on June 10, 2003, and arrived on Mars January 24, 2004 in Pacific Standard Time (PST). Spirit has traveled 7.7 km since her landing, and was a very successful MER. Why I am saying WAS, even though she could overcome various problematic obstacles, there was one bump she couldn't handle.
