Chapter 1.

My Pet Stormy

"Come on Stormy, almost there!" I shouted. " You're almost to the finish line... and she wins!" I'm training Stormy for a horse race.
It's tomorrow, and I think Stormy's gonna win. I just know she will.
"Time for bed!" My mom called from the house.
It's just me, my mom, and my little brother, Kenny. I don't know where my dad is.
He ran away when I was only 4 years old; I'm 14 now. Kenny's 11.
"How's the Stormy training going?" Kenny asked.
"It's going well", I said. " I think she's gonna win".
"We'll see", Kenny said.
