Kyra of the Tharshborn clan
Chapter 2.

The monster

"Today you're going on a hunt, fellow hunters", said Tai.

Kyra sat and listened to all that he said, as, of course, she's planning to go there herself.

"You are hunting a monster that has been terrorizing travelers from across the country and it must be stopped. The monster wanders the grass-lands of Shu-Pi. Go there, and bring us honour."

Kyra ran there, as fast as she could. Shu-Pi is a dangerous place to go to. Especially alone. There are many wolf packs in that area, and other hellish creatures and monsters. But Kyra is determined to prove herself a great warrior of the tribe, and of the village.

She arrived first. "I guess I should be looking for foot steps", she thought. She searched for a while, as the others began to appear from the distance. She found it. The foot step of the monster, she was sure of it. And she began to follow it.

Hunters saw her, and followed her.

"Kyra! Don't go alone!", one of them said. It was the fastest runner of the tribe, and he managed to catch up to her.

"You can run, Kony", Kyra said.

"I won't let you have the glory all to yourself", said Kony.

"We shall see", said Kyra.

Then, they saw it. It was three meters tall, with monsters claws, and red eyes that looked as if they were forged in hell.

Kyra smiled and said: "You're mine!". She, as long as they remember her, has been with no fear. She is pure passion. A fighting machine, that knows nothing other than glory.

But Kony passed her, and reached the monster first. He tried tiring it, and then making the fatal strike. But the monster managed to over power him. As he was about to get torn to bits. Kyra arrived!

She cut the monster's arm with her sword. The monster roared and got very angry. 'The angrier, the more mistakes I makes'. Thought Kyra. And when the monster wasn't guarding its heart, Kyra stick her sword inside it. Thus ending the monster. She cut the monster's head off, and roared a shout that meant: "Gods! Hear me! I am the great warrior Kyra, and I shall be the greatest!"

Great story! I love your short stories. Just watch out for the grammar. There are a few such as:"Then Tai stick the sword in his own stomach." Most of them are verb tenses. But excellent job! I can't wait for your next story!:D
