The sacrifice I did touched celestia. Soon, there were bubbles around us. I felt wings growing. We slowly levitated to the ground. twilight gained more magic while the rest of us turned into alicorns!
So, in order to be an alicorn, you have to sacrifice for your friends. it does not matter how old you are.
