Apartment B79 Ch3

. . . . . . . . . . .  Chapter 3 —Planning Gone Wrong—

The sun shrank down past our sights and it was finally night, so as we took some time to gather up our tools, Henry took the liberty of talking a night shift in the hallways for a cover. When it was finally 12:00pm I met Henry downstairs and I gave him his supplies in a black duffel bag, the duffel bag was Henry’s idea, to me I think it looks like we were gonna become robbers or something close to that. “Okay Henry, you ready to steal back my contract?” I asked like an epic person.
All Henry did was give me a reply with a hand signal, so I just told him to use words cause I didn’t really successfully learn sign language “Amber, I want you to hide in the corner behind the sapling plant just incase we get spotted” he said like he was Booth from the TV show Bones, telling Brennan to hide from Polant.
I didn’t mind that Henry wanted to keep me safe, yet I was thinking of slapping him in the face and yelling at him saying “females can be strong too you know!” Either way I ended up doing what he asked me to, for the fact I was wearing my pajamas and my slippers, which were rather slippery. No pun intended.

It’s been a while, and I think I have gone crazy, for the fact I started to inspect the plant as if it was a set of historical books with a huge plot twist. Henry was still looking the for back room key, it has been a good solid 19 minuets. I decide to go and help him for the fact if I didn’t it would be morning until he found it by himself. I picked up a key that was hanging off a hook under the desk in a drawer, I dangled it waiting for Henry to stop searching for something I just found, he didn’t look so I take the liberty on going to the back room door and unlocking it. As the door creaks open Henry turns to look at me dangling the key after I opened the door. “So wanna stop looking for something found and look for something else?” I ask him in a joking tone, he nods in embarrassment but I didn’t care. As we walked into the dark room, we look for a light because in every horror movie if you look for a flashlight your gonna die, but luckily the lights worked so no flashlights needed. “Get that box, and I’ll get this one” I said, but Henry was already at it so I just looked in a random box. It’s been about 10 to 14 minuets and Henry pointed out a box labeled “Victims” so of corse I get it and search it, and in a file I saw my name, the date I arrived, and some of my personal information, I rip the pages in half and throw them into a trash bin. “Hey, whats the deal?” Henry asked, I replied saying that our info was on a file, and all of it was personal information…
Henry paused so did I, it took us a bit of time to process what was happening then we herd a loud slam at the back of the storage room. Henry decided to be the “Hero” again and look in the back, but I go with him cause I was curious, either way this would make a perfect story for the newspaper. As we walked slowly to the back, we heard a loud chewing noise, as we got closer we ducked behind a shelf stacked with boxes so we could spy on the mysterious figure. We waited ‘till the figure stopped eating, and when the figure turned it was a little girl around the age of 5. After Henry and I gasped in shock the girl ran off into the darkness and disappeared. We thought it was okay to inspect the area were the girl was, no one was looking, I looked around to find that Henry looked at the files on and in the desk she was sitting at. Henry found a half eaten jelly doughnut and some                                                                                                         typed files of people that lived in room B79, and I found a ripped pice of fabric from the clothes the little girl was wearing. “Henry look I think I found something, what about you?” I asked him, “You won’t like this Amber, but look what this says” he reads out loud “Dear Manager, I have done what you asked me to but they haven’t been eliminated yet, but I assure you they will be but I need to get….” He stops reading, “Why did you stop?” I asked, he said that it stopped there, and when she heard us gasp she must of ran off unable to finish.
We decided to take the letter for evidence on our next newspaper story, then we had another stumble, literally.

Henry tumbled down and accidentally pulled me down with him, he said he meant to do that but I didn’t think so, then the storage room door closes and locks us in. “Amber, did you keep the key by chance?” Henry asked me “Of corse it’s in my pocket” I say as I dangle the key out of my pocket. Suddenly we notice that the door handle and lock have disappeared, we then start to hear loud noises from the back of the storage room but I won’t go back there, only stupid people do like in those horror movies. Henry runs to the desk near the back and grabs a stapler and a paper weight, he comes back to the door and tells me to step back, so I did and he throws the objects at the glass part in the door and tells be to climb out. “Are you crazy man, do you have any idea how much thats gonna hurt, I could cut myself, and I’m in my freaking pajamas” I stated, so Henry goes through first and grabs the chair thats in next to front desk so I can step on the chair instead of the glass. We quickly run to the stairs to exit the scene. When we arrive to my room things were floating, and moving around and we had no idea what to do. Suddenly I decided to call the cops yet that last time they just laughed and scoffed at me.  “Amber, look!” Henry said.
