[Ch. 2] Meeting Sans, kinda~

I was just wondering~

Well oke now back to the story :3

On one of the less busy streets, you could see a short skeleton with a blue vest, walking around aimlessy yet alert on the sidewalk, engossed in his thoughts.

It's been 4 years since the monsters came up to the surface.
If you compare the Sans now to the Sans back then, you could almost say that he had lost his innocence, and he wasn't even so innocent to begin with.

When Sans was in the Underground he had his fair share of battles, but if you compare it to the many confrontations he had on the surface, they differ by a landslide.
You get that when humans come forcing you to battle almost daily.

He's a bit roughed up from all the fights he's been through, but his blue flame didn't die down, instead it actually grew stronger with the hardships he faced together with his friends and family.
Though, everyday he lost more and more trust in the humans, and now doesn't even concider Frisk to be of the same species as them.

He isn't the same joking and lazy guy he was from back then, although he still makes puns and sleeps on the couch, he's way more serious and alert then he was before.
Papyrus even Wants Sans to make puns, that just shows how dire the situation has became.

His friends also find that he has changed allot, and some even took a bit of distance from him.
Though, they can't say it didn't happen to them too.
All of them, even Toriel and Frisk, have an edge to them now.
It's just that, because the rest mingles with humans on their jobs daily, it didn't have as much of an effect on them as Sans, who deals with the dirty job of getting rid of humans that want to hurt his family and the other monsters.

He even started a gang at the beginning for safety reasons.
But he didn't think that this gang he thought of on a spontaneous thought, would have been so vital for the survival of monsters.

{Sans POV}

Sans was walking around, trying to get his mind to relax.

Though walking around in a busy city wouldn't make anyone really relaxed, as they needed to became more viligant so that their wallet won't get stolen, atleast it took his mind off things that were happening in his life.

He remembered how everybody was so happy to finally be on the surface, so excited to finally get out of the underground and into the open.
Well, although Sans was more worried for what was in store for the monsters, he was truly fascinated by the weather.

How the stars were shining in the sky, how the sunrays held so much warmth, how the wind wasn't scheduled to blow in a certain direction.
But the most awe inspiring, by far, was the beautiful sunset at the end of the day.

Thought shortly afterwards, the problem of communication with the humans arised.

After a long discussion, it was decided that Frisk, Toriel and I would represent the monsters to the humans.
Frisk because they were a human, Toriel because nobody could truly dislike her, and could show monsters weren't that bad.
And I because, well, or else we won't be able to have a serious discussion, cause who's gonna have a serious discussion with a 6-year-old and a mother goat?
Another reason I was chosen was because I wouldn't really intiminate anyone with my appearance alone, like a certain King Fluffybutt.
And I wouldn't start another war, which is true, cause that would have taken too much effort.

So the three of us went to this city that Frisk signed was the best option to talk to human leaders, but before we were there Frisk stopped me and signed something that I should say out loud when the humans see us.
I didn't get it at first so I just agreed to it, though later on when I understood why I was laughing my bony butt off.

So we were an the border of the city, humans were noticing us but weren't approaching.

I cleared out my non-exciting throat, put my hand up and said in a loud but not intimidating voice.
"Hello Humans, We come in Peace.
We are aliens from the Planet Core, And would like to speak to your Human Leaders."

"If you could please." Toriel added softly.

The humans went crazy, screaming out thing like 'Aliens!' and 'They are rea!', and taking allot of pictures of us.

Well it took a while but we did finally get to meet these so-called leaders, but their subordinates were pointing guns at us.

Frisk quickly tried to show cuddly cuteness with Toriel, and I couldn't believe it but it actually worked.

I can't really remember everything that happend in the conferences.
Long story short, us three went to a meeting, then we brought out the rest of the monsters, and somehow we sighed a peace-treaty of some sorts.

They were very intimidated by Asgore and Undyne, and they even tried to take Frisk away from us, but Frisk explained in sign-language that Toriel adopted Frisk and that the rest of the monsters were like family to them.
Ofcourse the humans didn't really believe the little child, but after a year of being on the surface they began to see us monsters a little bit more as humans then animals.

And I really meant 'a little bit'.

In the beginning they kept sending people to attack us in the form of outlaws, trying to kill us or take hostages so that we would have to listen to human politics.
They brought sicko-doctors to 'examinate' us, but really just wanted to experiment on us.
Shopkeepers were usually hostile towards us, making the simplest things outrageously pricy.

But the worst part of it was, that they said it was 'In the name of the law', like they were righteous trying to kill us, just because they said so. That really grinded my bones.

But thank Asgore it wasn't all bad.

Mettaton became very popular as an actor, tv host, singer, dancer and pop star. That automatically made monsters be seen better and some humans even see monsters as greater beings then humans.

Toriel became a teacher at the school Asgore secretly built for her. Asgore became a security guard at the school, just as a side-job though, since he is still the king of monsters after all.
Asgore personally picked out all the employees, so everyone working there was oke with monsters and humans sharing a school.
Now the human childeren that went to the school were being taught at a young age that monsters really weren't all that different from them, and that both could live peacefully together.
Frisk went to the school like a normal 6-year-old should.

Undyne became the leader of a large group of guards. The reasons she didn't go into the military were because we forebode her telling her she would get dragged into politics and because she didn't like the reason humans wanted to kill other humans, it was just because they hurt the others pride a little.
Trust me when I say that means allot coming from the most prideful monster I know, and I know all the monsters.
Papyrus easily became her right-hand man, and soon her diciplines became the best of the best and even generously spread around the news of how awesome monsters are.

Alphys became the best doctor a hospital could wish for, though she rejected all the invites from them since the hospitals were all a bit monster-anti, and that was a no-go for her.
After a while there was a smaller hospital that took the risk to fire all the monster-haters that worked there, just to get Alpys to work with them.
Alphys joined and now that hospital is concidered one of the top-ranking hospitals in the country and the best hospital a monster could go to.
Now Alphys has her own lab in the hospital and they only hire people who accept monsters, in fear that Alphys might leave.

Grillby opened up another restaurant, and worked like he used to.

The other monsters all tried to way to fit in, some having more luck with it then others but are still trying.

And me, well, I would like to say that I am still the same lazy skeleton I was before all this, but that would be a lie.

I'm the leader of the gang I made when this all started.

The reason it was created was because the humans were so presistant on making us followers of their belief, threatening to kill us, and doing us unwell in overall, so I decided to make a gang all monsters can join.
This way we could stay connected, stay informed and find ways to protect each other when a human attacks them in any way.
Though some monsters didn't want to join and some left when they felt it was safe enough.
Well, we still keep an eyesocket out for them.

We called it 'Underground Community' or 'U.C.' for short.
U C what I did there?
Yeah Big Fluffybut named it, we chose it because it's so unoriginal and simple, just like the names of the places we used to live in the Underground.

Heh, when I think about it, it's quite funny I'm still my own boss no matter what, in the Underground or on the Surface~

"Sans!" Someone screamed in distress, snapping the skeleton out of his thoughts.

The person calling came out of an alleyway into sight, showing it was a beaten up Monster Kid.
"Sans! It's good that I was able to find you.
Dude, t-there's some bad guy that tried to attack me.
He got some punches in, till someone else showed up and gave me a chance to escape.
Hurry! We need to help!" The little yellow reptilian said in a hurry, trying to push the skeleton to the alleyway and would pull him too if he had any arms.

Sans eyes softly glowed a deadly blue, before putting in his own effort to move.
"Where's the location?"

"It's a few blocks ahead, I don't know how many since I was rushing. They're probably having a fight right now! C'mon dude, we gotta hurry up!" Not a moment after he said that he tripped, landing face first on the concrete.

Sans wanted to stop to help him up, but he could hear the fallen reptilian mumble a 'Go on ahead without me, I'll catch up'.

Sans picked up the pace and reached the situation in no time.

What he saw gave him a wave of cold anger.

There against the wall was a monster creature who got puched in the face a few times, asking for mercy.
And right infront of it was a human who was holding the monster by the front of it's t-sirt about to give the monster another beating.

Sans quickly activated his magic to use it to lift the human a few feet of the ground, and in his rage trew them hard against the wall on the other side of the alley, letting them hit their backhead hard to the hard concrete wall.

He then deactivated his telekinesis on them and let them drop hard on the concrete once again.

He stepped forward to the monster and looked at their beaten up form.
"Are you alright?" He asked with his naturally deep voice, with a bit of concern.

"Yeah, I'm alright. Thanks for getting rid of the human, they we're becoming quite the pain to the butt. Trying to help a puny monster get away from what he deserved, Tsk. They both got what they asked for." The injured monster with a hint of pure malice in it's voice.

"You were the one that hurt the little monster?"
Sans's anger froze over again, but he still tried to keep his voice calm, though all concern dissapeared immediately.

"Yeah, the little freak asked for it. What's it to you?" The monster started to get nervous from Sans sudden change in behaviour, but still kept up a strong front.

"This!" Sans said before his bony hands turned into a fist and punched the monster straight in the jaw, knocking out some teeth and caused it to immidiately fall unconcious.
Although the human was gonna hit the monster, they weren't gonna hit as hard to get an immidiate K.O. like Sans did.

Sans got out of the alley just as Monster Kid arived.

"Dude, is everything alright? Is the bad guy gone?" Monster Kid asked a bit nervous and concerned.

"Yeah, it's definitely gone." Sans said with a double meaning, but the yellow reptile didn't notice.

Monster Kid looked around, spotting the wounded human and walking up to them.
"Wow, it must of really hated this human to injure them so bad, there's even blood coming out of the back of the head."

"Yeah~ sure..." Sans said guilty, but not feeling guilty when he looked at what species was infront of him.
Though the sans were still crawling up his back.

After an akward silence of Monster Kid trying to inspect the injured human and Sans not knowing what to do with his guilty self, so he coughed trying to get the reptilian's attention.
"So, what exactly happend here?"

"Well, dude, what happend was that the monster cornered me into the alley and beat me up, then this human walked by, stopped for a second, and with cold eyes approached us.
They pushed the unexpected monster aside into the wall, stood infront at me, stared at me, then took a step to the side.
I think to let me escape, but I wasn't sure.
Then they looked back at the monster and approached it.
I don't know any further since I ran out trying to find help, and then I found you." Monster Kid said still looking over at the human.

Sans nodded, then looked over at the human.
The human was normal sized, with (skin/c) skin that was mostly covered by torned dull (f/c) coloured clothes.
They had (h/c) short hair that was full of knots.

If he didn't known any better, he'd say the human was a streetrat, but it's beautiful face was making him doubt himself.

Monster Kid was now using his head to try and raise the human in a sitting position.

"What are you doing?" Sans asked still trying to inspect the human.

"Well, dude, this human tried to help me, so I'm gonna help them back by letting them recover at my house." Monster kid said still busy with he's task.

"What?!" Sans shouted out in disbelief.

Monster Kid looked over at Sans, seriousness in his eyes for once.
"Sans, I know you hate humans, but this human right here actually tried to help me when they could of just walked away, minding their own business.
I know you find all humans bad, but that doesn't mean all monsters are good either.
Now, if you'd excuse me, I'm going to not let my savior bleed to death."

Just as quick as his seriousness came, it left again, leaving the teenager pushing his head into the humans back trying to lift them up.

Sans sighed, trying to think of an excuse to not do this, but coming up with nothing.
'Atleast I won't let the human go to Monster Kid's house, who knows what the human will do to him once they wake up.'

He sighed again, before coming up to the human and picking it up in a way to not further damage it's head..

"Fine kid, have it your way.
But the human is going to my house instead, or else I won't help you make the human recover." Sans said looking at the yellow reptilian, trying to compremise.

Monster Kid looked at Sans confusef.
"Why at your place? I thought you hated humans."

"Well umh, it's because I know a shorter shortcut to my place." He said, quickly grabbing Monster Kid's hand and teleported to his home.
They were at the skeleton's place before the yellow reptilian could even say anything in reply.

It's very well written! Just a few little things like missing out a words but that can be checked by re-reading the story yourself or asking someone to go through it with you. ^.^ Also that's a lot of paragraph spacing but that's just my opinion :P
