Find Out Who Your Friends Are

I walked down the long corridor of the train. I had heard about this place, this place I was heading to. The train shuttered before it started moving. I hurried along the train until I found a nearly empty compartment. There was a bit in there, looking out the window. He was tall and scrawny, and had blonde hair. I opened the door.
"Is this compartment full?" I asked.
The boy looked at me. "Oh- no- of course not. You can sit- if you like- I mean- if you want. You don't have to. I won't judge." He stuttered.
"Hey, calm down." I said, sitting down across from him. "What's your name?"
        "R-Reamus Lupin." He answered nervously.
"Nice to meet you, Reamus Lupin, I'm James Potter." I held out my hand for a handshake. Reamus accepted it.
Just then another boy ran in. He had black hair that hung just below his ears. He looked at us. There was a small brown haired boy behind him. Both looked as though they had just run a marathon.
"Um... hi?" I said, extremely confused. The brown haired kid waved.
The black haired boy plopped down next to me and held out his hand. "Sirius Black."
"James Potter." I said, shaking his had.
"I'm Peter. We just ran from some GIANT 4th years! The looked like they wanted to kill us. Well," the brown haired boy looked at Sirius as he look a seat next to Lupin, "wanted to kill HIM. I just got caught up in the ruckus."
"That was great." Sirius laughed and leaned back. "you should have seen it. I rigged a bucket of ice water in their compartment so that when one of them sat down, they'd be soaked! The looks on their faces was PRICELESS! It was SO funny! Well, accept for running for my life, That wasn't as funny. That actually hurt a little, they started casting spells!"
        I laughed. Sirius grinned.
Our friendship just kind of started there, in that train car. Sirius and I laughed about the stupidest of things, while Peter sat there and nodded his head like he understood, though we all knew he didn't. As it got later into the day Reamus told us fascinating stories of brave heroes battling terrifying monsters. It was great. As the train ride continued it started to get dark. We changed into our robes. All of us had new ones accept Reamus.
The train slowed as we approached Hogsmeade station. It was nerve wracking, but exciting at the same time. This is where it all starts. Every great hero has gone to this school. This would be my home for the next 7 years. We were about to start our lives as wizards.
