Chapter 9.

Ch. 9

I shift into a more comfortable position. I have a free falling feeling and then I hit the ground. I open my eyes and look around. I'm covered in bandages and am wearing a pair of boxer shorts, a too big white button down shirt. My feet are tangled up in a familiar trench coat. It has no blood stains on it, surprisingly. I pull it from around my feet and look around. I'm in a small room with a couch and an end table. There is a glass of water on it. I reach out and grab it. Sitting on the table is my necklace. I quickly put it on and feel better.
I sip the water, before emptying the glass. I wrap the coat back around me. I'm tempted to lay down again but I stand up as steadily as possible and head to the door. I twist the knob, happy to find it unlocked. I peek out first, and see three men sitting around a table, discussing in hushed voices. I recognize one by his messy hair and the tie that is limply hanging from his neck. I focus my blurred eyes and see a tall man with brown hair, chin length and green eyes. A slightly shorter one with cropped brown hair and green eyes are in focus. I then remember. The Winchesters.
"Hey," Castiel says. I look up and meet his blue eyes. He smiles. I step out and the boys look me up and down. They cough and look anywhere but me. Castiel stands and walks over to me. His arms wrap around me. At first I'm confused, but I quickly adjust and throw my arms around him, holding him tight and burying my face in his chest.
"Cas..." I whisper. I look up, a single tear streaming down my face. He wipes it away. I close my eyes and lean into his hand. When I open my eyes I'm surprised to see a tear streaming down from his eye. I stretch up on my tippy toes and kiss it away. He smiles. My legs collapse and I begin to fall. He catches me and sits me on the couch.
*****weeks later*****
I continue hunting, only coming out of my fog to kill the creature before I fall back into it. I'm on my own now, I couldn't wait to get away from Sam and Dean. I'm on a demon case in Maryland, ready to attack when the demon begins talking to me. It tears me apart.
"You couldn't save Nat. It's your fault he's dead..." And then I realize this isn't a demon, it's an angel.
"Shut up. You have no idea." He laughs.
"No, I think I do." He holds a blade that makes my healing cuts sear. I moan and grasp my pendant.
"I can kill you." He laughs wildly.
"You haven't an angel blade." I smirk.
"No, but I have this." I pull my pendant and hold it out. I scream. It amplifies it and he yells until a light disintegrates him.
"Aurora?" A voice asks.
"Sam?" I see him standing at the doorway of the warehouse. He holds the gun up and shoots me. I scream with pain before everything goes black.
I wake up to a familiar voice yelling.
"You shot her!" Castiel yells.
"Cas, I didn't know! I watched her kill an angel by screaming!" Sam yells back. I open my eyes and look at my bleeding arm. I move over to a table quietly. I pull the first aid kit down and grab tweezers. I pull the bullet out, pour in some disinfectant and stitch it up. I wrap a bandage around and button my shirt back up. I grip my necklace and gain force myself awake. I stand up.
"You do know it sucks being shot, right?" I say loudly. They look up. Cas runs over.
"Are you alright?" He looks at my arm. I nod sharply.
"Fine, I'll just be on my way." I grip my necklace and feel Nat's soul swirling within. It was his necklace. One was given to every angel at birth. When an angel falls, it looses the necklace. My father came across, oddly enough, my guardian angel's. After an angel dies it's soul returns to the necklace and guards the owner by giving the owner the same powers as the angel did in life. Cas yells wait, but Nat's power takes over and I transport to the motel I am staying at. I haul ass out of town, especially away from Bel Air.

"You have to face up to us soon enough," Cas comes to me in my dream.
"It's really none of their business what my necklace is."
"We can use you." He insists, taking my hand.
"Maybe I don't want to use me." I pull my hand away softly. I pull out the knife in my pocket. In my arm, turned away from him while he talks I draw the angel sigil.
"Not use you exactly, just, borrow your necklace..."
"Hey Cas?" He looks at me. I hold up my arm and then press my blood covered hand to it. He screams and disappears. I jerk awake, choking. I use the knife under my pillow to cross the sigil out just as my necklace chokes me into unconsciousness again.

I wake up on the bed, but when I look in the mirror there is an awful burn along my throat. And my necklace is gone. I search around and find it on the floor. The cord burnt out. I put it on a new cord and squeeze it in apology. Nat forgives me immediately. I clean up the burns and shower. While standing in the shower I realize something grave. I missed my period for two days now. I begin panicking.
After dressing I do something I never wanted to do. I pick up my phone and call Castiel. There is a loud moan on the other end.
"Cas?" The moaning stops short.
"Aurora?" I frown.
"Cas, I normally wouldn't do this, but it's serious. I'm at the North Hampton Inn." He is standing behind me instantly. I click my phone closed.
"What's wrong Aurora?" I sigh and sit down.
"Cas... I've missed my period for two days after being raped by a demon without protection." He stares at me.
"You had your knofe near you, right?" I sigh heavily. Right. Forgot this is Castiel not Nat.
"Cas, I think I'm pregnant with the spawn of a demon-human hybrid." He stares for a long moment.
"You people have a something or other, right?" I nod and take his hand.
"But if it's Nat's I don't want it dead." He nods.
"I can feel it, and know." I stare.
"How?" His hand reaches for my stomach, and I lean back automatically. His hand runs over, and it kicks. I gasp. "It's only been a month, that isn't... That isn't supposed to happen!"
"It's an angel. Angel children grow much faster. Another month and you'll be due." I gasp and grab my necklace. I tell Nat the news. He is happy and surprised.
