There Is No End

~Chapter 1~

     Tora sits tirelessly in her seat. Nervously, she picks at her food. She fidgets, unknowingly as a Mobian cat sneaks up behind her. Said cat pounces on the tiger’s back, startling her. Tora shouts, “Eternal!” as the Mobian laughs. Tora sighs and looks away. “What’s wrong? You’ve been acting strange the past few days.” Eternal asks worriedly. Tora shakes her head. “Something... Feels off.” the golden tiger replied. What do you mean?” Eternal demanded. “I don’t know.” Tora growled out.
     Eternal sighed, “Fine, but you’re not staying here all day.” Tora looked at Eternal confused. “We’re going to go to the park or something. You’re going to get some air in that big head of your’s” The Mobian cracked. “Hey! My head is not that big!” Tora argued. Eternal only laughed as she walked out the door. Her tiger companion followed behind her, pouting. As they came out of their sanctuary, they crossed paths with an Arctic wolf. “Hey Maggie, is that you?” Eternal called out. The wolf smiled and nodded, as she ran over.
     “Hey guys! What are you doing?” Maggie asked excitedly. “We’re hunting elephants.” Tora replied sarcastically. Eternal elbowed her, “We’re going on a walk, do you want to join?” Eternal asked Maggie sternly. “Hunting elephants sounded more exciting, but I’ll join.” the wolf replied, smirking.
   “Hey Maggie.” Tora said. Maggie hummed in response. “Have you felt like anything is... off?” Tora inquired. Maggie looked confused, “What do you mean?”
   Eternal sighed, “Tora is being superstitious and feels like something is following her, or something like that.” Tora glared at the cat, “No, I feel like someone, or something is in danger.” The tiger mumbled. Maggie shook her head, “No, I haven’t felt that at all. Maybe there is a connection between you and whoever you feel is in danger.” Maggie said. Tora shrugged, “Maybe...”
   “Enough of this. We’re out to get our minds off of this.” Eternal commanded. The others nodded. Tora smiled gently, something that doesn’t happen very often. “I’ll race you guys to the swings.” the tiger challenged. The others agreed and dashed off. Tora’s inhuman speed and lightning ability allowed her to win. She did her victory dance as the others slightly panted. “No fair, you have super speed.” Maggie groaned. Eternal nodded in agreement. Tora chuckled, “All is fair in love and war.” The tiger chuckled. “You only smile when you win something.” Maggie pointed out. “Just figured that out?” Eternal laughed out, as Tora’s smile dropped. “I do not.” Tora argued, sitting on one of the swings. “Don’t deny it, you know it’s true.” Maggie giggled.
   All of the sudden a scream ripped through the air. Not a scream of enjoyment. A scream of terror and pain. Tora sprung up from the swings and sprinted into the nearby woods, Maggie and Eternal not to far behind her. Tora used her speed to her advantage and with a burst of speed found the source of the noise fairly quickly. But all that was left was a small crater a blue jewel.
