Chapter 1.

Introduction

It started on an eventful night. I had just won the championship game for my soccer league. My twin sister, who is more geeky than athletic, was in the stands cheering for me. Every time I had the ball she would yell, "Go Paisley, go!" We had gone out to eat right after to celebrate. We had decided on going to my favorite Chinese food place, The Wong. After we finished eating we went to the store and my mom was suddenly called into work. She's a doctor after all. The head doctor. I sighed, disappointed in not having my mom for the rest of the night. Unfortunately, it was a very important call that she got because, we were zooming down the slick roads when she rammed into something. The car lurched forwards. And then I blacked out.
I think I awoke about ten minutes later. There was blue and red flashing lights. I tried to move my arm, but it felt as though someone had stabbed one million daggers into my arm. Suddenly I heard something - no someone screaming. Then I realized it was me. I closed my mouth when I realized nobody else was screaming, or talking. Then I felt someone unbuckling my seat belt. "We got her. She's alive." I turned my head towards her. "We got your family from the car, sweetie,"  she said as if reading my mind. She put me on a stretcher an hauled me into an ambulance. The last thing I rember is the EMT saying, "everything will be just fine."
