I don’t like BlackPink

I’m sorry. I’ve tried really hard to get into blackpink but I just can’t. Their music isn’t that great and I feel like they’re trying to hard to be “the best” in the business. I just don’t get it. Big Bang, 2ne1, Super Junior and all of the other legendary kpop groups didn’t become legends in a day and I don’t like the fact that Black Pink is being treated like their more superior than every other group that is in the business. Weki Meki didn’t copy them and Black Pink did not invent the “bad girl” concept or sound nor do they own it. None of anything I’ve said so far is against the girls it’s just the way they’ve been promoted.
I feel like YG is getting too much like the other companies in the Big 3. He’s turning into a “you should look pretty to be in a group” company. It started with black pink (again this is against YG) and I’ve seen it go to MixNine. YG used to not care about looks, if you were talented you could make it. Part of my disliking for blackpink is 2ne1. It’s almost impossible to not compare the two and I’ve tried not to. But 2ne1 disbanded at the same time blackpink debuted. Both groups have four members who each have similarities like jisoo and bom’s voices are both unique, Lisa and Minzy are both dancing queens, Jennie and CL can rap and Dara and Rose both have sweet innocent voices. It’s too easy to compare them. Not to mention both have similar styles in music and pretty much have the same bold concept.
Taking that into account 2ne1’s fan club name was none other than BlackJacks (how similar to blackpink... their name could be more unique I guess) and 2ne1’s fan color is hot pink. It’s like literally black and pink. I don’t know, that stuff’s really just against yg. He hasn’t done a good job of promoting blackpink in my opinion and he’s trying to hard to give them “the yg sound” blackpink sounds just like every other YG artist, not only 2ne1, and their not unique in any way.
The only thing I have against the girls is that besides Jisoo, they’re totally boring to watch. I about fell asleep watching their Weekly Idol interview and that’s saying something because weekly Idol is usually a funny show. I just feel like Blackpink needs to become a more versatile group and promote better songs with more meaningful lyrics. When I say versatile I don’t mean do a CLC concept switch, but I need something different from them. I need to see something new from them to be able to get into them.
