Chapter 2.
Rain

Rain

Rain looked at the human girl, "Why are you afraid of me?" she asked sadly. The human replied to her in a scared voice " Wh-what are you?!". "I'm sorry, introductions first. I'm Rain, as you can see. I'm a mermaid.". The human gasped, "Your so pretty! Im Lauren, and that's my brother Erin." The human boy swam over to her quickly. "What's this?" Rain poked at Erin's floties. "Oh I need these, I can't swim.." He replied. There was a long silence. "Oh," Rain decided to quickly say something, her ear fins flicked, "Sharks," she said. "Get back to shore there's a shark nearby.." She said and grasped a trident from in the sand. Erin and Lauren swam back to shore and watched in silence as Rain stabbed the shark with the trident. "There, it's safe." Rain said, "Oh ok," Lauren said.
A wave zoomed above the three. It. Was. Huge. Lauren and Erin screamed in terror. Rain felt a nudge on her tail as the three went under, she felt something grab her hand and she swam to the surface, "Where are we?" Lauren and Erin asked at the same time. Rain looked around, there was nothing, absolutely nothing, just clear, calm, nice water. "Ermm, I don't know," Rain said.
They sat there for a while..
"Oh! I got it!" Rain said. "What?" Erin asked and looked at Lauren, puzzled. Rain breathed in a long gasp of air and made a high-pitched squeaking noise, "Ah!" Erin and Lauren exclaimed and covered their ears. A rush of dolphins swam at them, "Rain, should we swim away?!" Lauren screeched. "No," Rain said calmly as the dolphins came to a halt.
"Your going to ride a dolphin..." Rain said and Lauren passed out of happiness.
