Sweet Silence

Sweet Silence
Skylar and her troops had marched back to the castle to sleep for the night after their unsuccessful battle with the north. Skylar frowned as a general read the statistics of the battle. They lost 12,000 men and the battle had lasted only 45 minutes. Skylar thanked her for reading the statistics to her and told the general she could go to bed now.
Skylar went down to the ground level of the castle and went into the music room to play her violin. Playing music always calmed her and she loved the smooth sweet sound of the violin. The room was white with different black music notes painted on the walls. There were two violins in the corner of the room, one white and one black. In the other corner was a grand piano. Various other instruments were scattered about the room along with sheet music. Skylar picked up her black violin and began to play Moonlight Sonata.
After playing Moonlight Sonata she sat on a grey loveseat and heard a small knock on the door, Skylar set down her violin and opened the door and saw Neverland standing there in his pajamas with a small frown on his face. Skylar looked confused as Neverland sat on her lap and hugged her tightly. Skylar sat there a while not sure what to do but she finally cleared her throat and said,"You could've fought harder earlier Neverland." Neverland didn't respond instead he just broke away from the hug and sat there still in silence. Skylar and Neverland just sat there staring into space. Neverland was absolutely positive that the person besides him was no longer his kind big sister. She was an uncompassionate emotionless monster that was fueled by nothing but rage and bloodlust. They sat there in an uncomfortable silence that was anything but sweet.
