The day he returns

Kuro was happy that the war was over so him and his few men left after they buried the dead but he wanted to hurry to leave so he can report that the kingdom was safe. But he was never told that the king stepped down from the throne but he wanted to see his long time love. So he started to travel back to the castle and speak to the king but there was no king in sight so he asked a maid " wheres the king?" but the maid explained " He stepped down from the throne after our queen passed sir.". He was surprised at this news and he asked"Who is the ruler now?"

The maid answered in a lady-like manner," Queen Karma is now the ruler of the land."That made him chuckle which made the maid blush and hurried away leaving the man alone in the foyer of the castle. He looked at a painting of Karma and her family. He was happy to be back but worried that he might lost his love to another but he sighed heavy. He heard footsteps coming his way but had his back turned to the person. He heard they were high heel shoes.  He sighed then said "I am sorry maid I thought the king would wait until I came back." The answer was"Well he had to since he is old." He was shocked and turn turns around then smiled small" You look wonderful my queen." He bowed to her. She huffs,"You don't need to bow....."
