Chapter 4.

Bad Idea!

James pins Alex to the floor before he can fully open the closet door! James looks the smaller boy in the eyes and says “you know it’s rude not to ask before looking through other people's stuff!” James stands up and puts out his hand to help the other boy! Alex grabs James’s hand and gets up off the floor! Alex goes to open the closet door again! James pushes the door of the closet closed with one hand which leaves Alex in between the door and James!

Alex’s face fades into being a faint pink in color! James asks “you ok? You're turning red!” Alex nods his head and pushes James away from him! James says “I'll. . . Go get you some water!” James walks out of the room and Alex tries to open the closet door! He opens the door to reveal a large wooden chest placed on the floor of the closet! Alex is about to open the chest when James walks in with a glass of water! James drops the glass onto the floor shattering it! James knocks Alex to the floor and pins him down! Alex begins to shake lightly and James lets him up from the floor! Alex gets up and asks “what is in that box? And why don’t you want me to see it?” James says “it’s a guitar that was my dad’s! He died when I was 4!”

Alex wraps James in a tight hug! James hugs back! After a few seconds The boys release their grasps on each other! Alex blushes faintly in embarrassment! He pulls out a key necklace from under his shirt and unlocks the chest! He opens the mahogany chest and pulls out an old acoustic guitar! Alex asks “do you know how to play it?” James nods his head and says “yeah my mom taught me when I was little!” James begins to play a thousand years by christina perri on the little old acoustic!

From the hallway his mother yells “JANE I’M HOME!!!” James stops playing and yells back “IT’S JAMES!!!” Alex asks “your a girl?” James looks at Alex with fear in his eyes! James’s mom yells “YOU’RE NOT A BOY! HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU THIS!!!” Alex grabs his backpack off the floor and says “I'll see you tomorrow. . .Jane!” Alex rushes out of the room then out of the house! James falls backwards onto his bed and sighs! “There goes my chance to impress him!” James thinks as he gathers his homework out of his bag and begins to work...end of chapter four
