Chapter 13.

until the end

They took to an office looking room. He was finally able to sit on a cushioned chair. A man in a suite came in and sat behind the desk in front of him. Noel recognized the man he was the announcer in the last fight. “You disappoint me Noel.” He said. Noel looked confused and shocked. I won I defeated your champion so I get the money that was promised.” He demanded.

“I’ll give you your money but it’ll be useless to you.” He said. Noel stared at him. “Why?” He asked. The man smiled. “Because you’re our prisoner.” He said. “That is cliché.” Noel said rolling his eyes. “C’mon give me my money.” The man smiled. “I’m not kidding this is your new home until you die.” He said. “we don’t trust you to go off with 50,000 dollars and come back next year to keep your place as champion.” Noel’s eyes were filled with rage. “You’re telling me that I’ve gone through all of this just to be prisoner?” He asked. The man nodded with a grin. “You sick bastard!” He yelled and lunged across the table at the man. Half way over he felt something prick his back and everything went black. When Noel woke up everything was black and it smelled of urine. There was a light shining threw a slit in the wall. “Until the end.” He said with tears streaming down his face as he thinks of his mom in the hospital with no money and now no son. It was all his fault. It’s all over now.
