One morning at midday on the 16th of August, I was sitting by K block under the shade with my friends Paige and April. We were telling stories and having a good laugh, until, I was busy eating a cookies n creme flavoured protein bar and Paige told a funny story about her dog getting stuck in a hole. I laugh at the story and while the protein bar piece I was eating was in my mouth, what I didn't know was that some of the cookie pieces on top of the bar slid down my throat and when I went to breathe after laughing, the cookie pieces slid down my windpipe and i started choking and coughing violently, my friend Paige, who has decent medical experience, took action and quickly stood up and slammed her hand against my back to stop me from choking. After a long 5 minutes, I managed to cough up the cookie pieces that caused my choking thanks to Paige's quick thinking to help me. April walked up and helped me up as we both walked to the bubblers for a drink. Paige stayed behind as some other students that witnessed Paige's quick thinking were asking her questions on how she saved me. To this day Paige still helps me and April not choke if we accidentally choke on something. Me and April are grateful for Paige's quick thinking while I will never forget those times Paige saved my life.
