Chapter 1.

Beginnings

Tonight was a stormy and dark night like no other. Thunder crashed and boomed and lightning glowed in streaks across the sky. Charlie a boy about nine or ten years old looked out his window from his bed, and as the lightning flashed he thought that he saw a a giant shadow outside his window. He thought to himself, " I hope it isn't the Boogie man or Chewbacca." He slowly got up out of bed and opened his curtains to look outside. He was petrified as he slowly peeked out from behind his bedroom curtain. When he looked outside he realized that the shadow belonged to a giant troll, Charlie couldn't believe his eyes.
He thought about it and thought about it, he contemplated just letting the troll stay outside and suffer the whole night. After he thought about it more and thought about what if he was the one outside and the troll was inside, after this conclusion he went to ask his father if he could bring the troll inside. His father who thought that he was just kidding or imagining it said " Sure buddy, just remember that he's your responsibility and your alone." Charlie then ran off to his room, opened the window and yelled to the troll to come back and come inside, instead of spending the whole night in the freezing cold rain.
Once Charlie brought the troll inside his room and introduced himself. The troll said his name was George and they shook hands. Charlie and George went to bed after about an hour of talking and becoming great friends.
At about 6:30 the next morning George woke up and went to make Charlie a gigantic breakfast. When Charlie woke up to the smell of perfectly cooked bacon he went out to the kitchen to see who was cooking. He saw that George was cooking a breakfast meant for a king. he asked what it was for. " You took me in last night so I thought I'd repay you by cooking you a giant breakfast." George replied. " You didn't have to do that for me George." Charlie replied. George stared at Charlie for a while the said, " Well are you going to let all of this food go to waste? Or are you going to eat it with me?" "Fine, but only this time." Replied Charlie rather sharply.
Whilst they were eating their breakfast Charlie asked if George would help him to find his mother who had been missing for almost a month. " I'd be happy to help you friend. It's the least I could do seeing as you let me inside your personal dwelling." Charlie jumped up, pushing the chair across the floor at the same time. He thought to himself " I can't wait until we find mum and I can show her George. I hope she likes him as much as I do!" Charlie then realized that it was only Wednesday and that he had school. "Hey George, I'm off to school. I'll be back later." He yelled "Have a good day Charles" George yelled back. Just after that George thought to himself " I wonder what 'school' is like. I bet Charles would be really surprised if I showed up in his class today." As soon as Charlie left George followed him all the way to school.
