Chapter 3.

Dance

Dear Diary,

Tonight was the dance. Mom bought me three dresses. One was pink and silky, one was blue and lacy, and one was green and ruffly. I wore the blue one. She also bought me two pairs of shoes. There were white sandals with beads on the toes and then leather boots with fringes. I chose the sandals. Dana stole the boots and also the pink dress and said she was keeping them for herself. I don't even like pink so I told her she could keep them.
At the dance, it was dark. There was a table with food and drinks. I had a dollar so I bought a candy bar. I could barely make out Mark but there he was so gave the candy to him and he thanked me. Maybe he will want to dance with me when we get old enough.
Sarah ended up asking Cameron and he agreed. They matched. Sarah was wearing a green dress and Cameron wore a green t-shirt and some jeans. I thought that wasn't dressed up enough but Sarah was so happy that I had to be excited for her.
At the dance, Ben slumped in the corner and drank soda. No one agreed to go with him so he was depressed. I pulled him up and brushed him off and pushed him over towards Alison. She was about to reject him but I gave her a meaningful look so she started chatting with him.
I am SO an expert matchmaker.
