   My name is Vanessa Williams and I am 25. I am currently lying on my bed staring at the ceiling. Unable to move, unable to breathe. I had just learnt that my first love Enrique Jajosa, now age 26 is going to be married. It was summer after high school when we first met. It was like love at first sight. We then started dating and we used to make out in his mustang to radiohead. Then on my 18th birthday he wanted to do something special so we got matching tattoos.
    As all those dreading memories came back to haunt me the funny times of when we used to steal his parents liquor and climb to the roof. Talk about our future like we had a clue. They actually made me smile but then reality slapped me across the face and tears rolled down my cheeks. I had never planned that one day I’ll be losing him.
   Then I started to imagine in another life I would be his girl and we keep all our promises, be us against the world. And in another life I would make him stay. So I wouldn’t have to say he was the one that got away. The one that got away…
   Our love was supernatural. I was June and he was my Johnny Cash. It was so strong nothing could’ve come between us. Never one without the other, we made a pact. And to be honest sometimes when I miss him I put those records on.
     I was heartbroken when someone said you had your tattoo removed. And I saw him down town , singing the blues. *Huh ( sigh ) *  I guess it’s time to face the music I’m no longer his muse.
