Chapter 8.
The Words That Saved Me

The Words That Saved Me

Dear Dairy,
"You're not alone" That's what she said when after she punch the kid. Celest... She saved me.
We were all at the park, playing soccer together while Celest's dad played basketball. Celest went to the bathroom. So I was sitting peacefully holding onto the ball, until the bullies came out of nowhere. They took our ball
"Hey give that back!" I said I stood up, then they laughed and pushed me to the ground.
"Why should we give this back to the cutter? It's our property now" They laughed and pointed at me. I felt helpless and scared. Then I heard Celest running and yelling
"You brats give that back!" The kids just laughed, even though Celest was clearly bigger and faster
"Why would we care about the cutter's friend either?" Celest looked at me, then looked back at them and smiled
"Because the cutter isn't as alone as you think she is!" That's when she punched the kid. Grabbed the ball, and walked over to me while the kid started crying.
I asked her how she knew I was a cutter. Her response was "I knew something was wrong. It's summer and you're still wearing long sleeved shirts. Kinda figured it out from there." The kids cussed us out, Celest flipped them off in return saying "Touch Grove again and I'll make sure your face won't be recognizable!" She laughed, then stood in front of me. I was crying by then, like sobbing.
"You're not alone"
Then I remember her holding her hand out to me, then I was hugging her, sobbing in her arms.
