Chapter 13.

Lions and Tigers and People Hiding in the bushes, oh my

She ran all the way to the address. 916 Savnanah Boulevard.

She leaned against the brick walls of the old house and started texting.

"im there mom :P"

"Okay, dearie. And please use correct grammar!"

In your dreams.

Footsteps that were admittedly pretty loud echoed down the empty street. Well, the girl's prince, kind of, by the name of Gerard Way, was here.

"Hey."

"'Sup."

The most casual of greetings.

"Nice hair!" Enthusiastic tone, check. Yee!

"Thanks!" the girl said with a huge, authentic smile. Things were finally looking up.

"Check this!"

Gerard pointed at something on his sleeved arm. It was a black armband with a circle made out of guns on it. In the middle, it read, "MCR".

"Are you sure that the school'll like that?"

"Mom called 'em about it and they replied it's okay as long as it's not an actual one."

"They did?!"

"Is Isaac still being decent to you?"

"Eh, pretty much."

"What do you see in him anyways?"

"I see a guy that looks like the epitome of perfection but what the faceless masses say is that you're dating. Ugh." A quick roll of the eyes for effect.

Even though she didn't believe what she was saying. Even though she was saying it to make Gee think she was forced into it.

Even though she didn't believe herself.

"Nice one, Helena! Someday I'm gonna write a song in your honor and it's gonna go like..."

"REALLY?! Sing it, Gee!!"

As the Gothy pair laughed, chatted, and sang into the dark, what they didn't see was a pair of crystal blue eyes narrow in anger...
