My One, My Only
Chapter 1.

In the Quiet of the Night

"I want them dead!" The screech echoed throughout the dark stone room, harsh and fulled of spite & anger. The young parakeet cowered in fear, closing his shiny black eyes. He was a young bird, with a red coating of feathers, splashed with blue, black, and green. His beak was a candy-corn yellow, and his wings were flecked with purple and gold. His name was Yega.
"My lord, I-" Yega began, but the voice shouted again.
"I want them dead, and I will have them dead even if I sacrifice everything I know! Do you understand, Yega?" The voice came from a invisible source. The only you could see of it was a shimmer of black and cruel, red eyes.
"Y-yes, my lord."
The voice calmed down, and next time it spoke, it was softer, and more deadly. "They have surpassed me for far too long. Well, I have waited enough. They may think themselves so mighty and powerful, but I know things they would never dare to know." A ball of black shadow appeared, casting flecks of purple light all over the room. After a moment, it faded. "Like Dark Magyk, for instance."
"A-agreed, my lord." Yega trembled. He was regretting his desicion to join the Army of Hydra, but he could never admit that to the master. The master was too cruel, too powerful..but yet, the fortune he promised was dazzling. 1,000 flecks! That was like living to 1000. Yega could withstand a bit longer of the master for this payment.
The master was silent. "Yega, I have a plan. How about you become the Commander of the Army?"
The parakeet held his breath. Commander?! But, that was unheard of, even though he was the master's advisor.
"My lord, how could I..I possibly accept this honor?" He quavered.
"It's only if you succed. For now, it's temporary." Yega trembled, now in happiness, and the master smiled to himself. What a foolish bird. "You will lead the army. Slowly, we will advance to the gaurdians. Our first destination is Canon Town. Capture a few hostages. They are sure to come to rescue them."
"O-ok, my lord," Yega nodded.
"Now, go. Gather the High Warriors. Leave at dawn. I will be waiting to hear your progress, Yega."
"Thank you so much, my lord." Yega bowed and fled the room.
The master stayed quiet. He chuckled slowly to himself. So foolish. That bird had no idea what was in store for him. After this, if the gaurdians are killed, Yega won't have much use to me anymore, he thought evilly.
Outside, a shadow perched on the roof, her head cocked. She had heard everything and was satisfied. She stood up, stretching her wings. She looked very much like Yega, except the flecks on her wings were swirls of blue and green. Flapping those wings a but, she took off. And just you wait, Master, she said in her head. Just you wait.
