Night wolf is a small pup. She and her mother rely on the river for food and water. One hot summer day night wolf and her mother go down to the river to see that there is nothing left of the river. Now night wolf and her mother must ether move to a place with food and water or die. Night wolf and midnight (night wolfs mother) start the long journey to find more food and water to survive. As they go along in the forest a hunter attacks midnight and now night wolf has to survive on her own. It isn't along time after that night wolfs mother dies, night wolf finds a shady tree with a pond and some deer. Night wolf falls asleep.
