What are you're thoughts on people who believe they know everything about greek mythology just because they read PJO?
Just a personal pet peeve of mine.

MERPLE. I read PJO because of the plots and the characters. I love mythology, not just the one's in Rick's books. I have taken a university class on mythology and can point out any mistakes in the books.

As someone who's taken a full course of mythology in high school and a course in university, this annoys the hell out of me. It's the equivalent of thinking one knows Norse mythology because they've seen Thor and/or the Avengers.

It's really annoying. I know about Greek mythology because I study it, not because I read a fictional book.

I really hate that! Just because I read PJO doesn't make me one of those people, and I know a lot about Greek Mythology because I studied the original stories.

Its funny since a lot of it doesn't fit well, and it barely scratches the surface of the stuff! I bet I learned more about it from TV than the books would
